Dates
BlasterHacks 2025 will be from Friday, March 28th 2025 to Sunday, March 30th 2025.
Eligibility
Participants must be a current college student.
Project and Submission Requirements
- Participants can work by themselves or in a team of up to 4 people.
- All team members must have registered to participate by the deadline.
- Participants can only select one track to submit their final project to in addition to the Best Use of Groq track.
- All team members must have registered, checked in, and demoed the project to be eligible for a track prize.
- The use of AI such as ChatGPT, Copilot, etc. for help is permitted.
- All code for the project must have been written between March 28th 9:00 PM-March 30th 9:00 AM.
- Any projects containing code created previous to the time above or submitted to another hackathon will result in disqualification.
- Any projects that are fully AI generated will be disqualified.
- Projects cannot be add ons of previous projects.
- All submissions of projects will be made through Devpost.
Prizes
- All team members will receive a prize if they win.
- Prizes must be picked up at the closing ceremony.
Judging Criteria and Winner Selections
Judging will be done Science Fair style. All members of the team must demo the project. Projects will be judged by more than one judge.
Judging will be based on:
Overall Functionality
How well does your project function? Does it work as intended? What percentage of features are working? What features need to be added?
Overall Experience
How easy is your application to use? How nice is it to use your application? Is the UI designed well? Is there a good user experience?
Technical Difficulty
How technically complex is your project? Are you using scalable or emerging technologies? Is your functionality complex?
Novelty
Is the project novel? Does it solve a unique problem or solve a problem in a unique way?
Relevance
How relevant is your project to the track you applied to?
